Piano Fingers Sewing Masks

Hello and welcome :)

I am a professional musician living in Charlton, a lovely suburb of South East London. Like many other artists, as soon as the coronavirus struck, I lost all my performance income. All my concerts, theatre shows, private gigs and lots of accompanying work at Junior Trinity College in Greenwich got cancelled or postponed with no new dates on the horizon.

But, the show must go on... no matter what!... So, what did I do? I learned how to sew, and I now use my piano fingers to sew stylish face coverings! You can find out more about my fashion statement masks on social media, where I will be uploading my new designs and fabrics, so don't forget to follow me!

You can also email me directly at pianistandrea@gmail.com if you'd like to place an order or share any feedback on wearing my masks.

🎹  And of course, I still play the piano, and since the start of the lockdown, I have organised several online events for my piano students, friends and followers.

My last concert was a fundraiser for Greenwich-based charity MumsAid, and we raised £900 in total! Here is a short clip form the concert of my fingers playing the piano :) YOUTUBE LINK.

We need music now more than ever, so it's it essential to keep playing during this uncertain time. And if we can use our talent to help those who are in need, that's even better!

For the list of my upcoming performances visit my website, and I would be delighted to see you in one (or more) of my next events. In fact, you can now hear me play live even if you are on the other side of the planet!

P.S. If you decide to buy one of my masks, I hope you will like it, and thank you for supporting my coronavirus "the show must go on" project.

You can visit my online shop masks-by-andrea.sumup.link. If you can't see what you are looking for, just look at my fabric photos below and let me know the fabric number and required size, and I will make it for you.

You can see all my designs in the Fabric Catalogue (subject to availability), and if you find what you like please email me your choice at pianistandrea@gmail.com

I will send you the card payment link.

Adult - standard size* (M) | £10 per mask
Teen - slightly smaller size (S) | £9 per mask
Child - small size (XS) | £7.00 per mask

Price includes postage & packaging.

! IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Children under 2 years old and those with breathing difficulties should NOT wear face coverings.

*I can also make larger adult sizes, let me know if you think you may need one, for example if you have a beard.
Adult Large (L) | £12 per mask

I can insert a nose wire which will create an adjustable nose bridge to fit around your nose to ensure a more secure fit. The wire can be removed before you wash your mask and put back in place before you wear it again.

Nose wire can be fitted into any mask for an additional cost of £1.00.

The mask does not come with the filter. If you require extra protection, I recommend that you insert a carbon filter. You should replace the filter once a week.

I have a few in stock at the moment, and you can order it for an extra £1.00 each.

  • Handcrafted, made of two layers of 100% cotton fabric.
  • With insert pocket at the back to add your own filter if required.
  • Side-channel allows you to move and adjust the ear elastic. You could replace it for a non-stretchy tie or ribbon, or a longer elastic to go around the back of your head.
  • Made in a cat-friendly home, please wash your mask before wearing, which you should do anyway.
  • Wash your mask regularly, after each time you wear it. Hand wash with soap and water (you could soak it in boiling water first), or machine wash gentle cycle, up to 40 degrees Celsius. Do not tumble dry.
  • You can also iron your mask to remove any potentially remaining germs. Do not iron elastics.
  • Children under 2 years old and those with breathing difficulties should NOT wear face coverings.
  • These are not medical masks or replacement for certified PPE, but are superior to single-layer, or cheap synthetic loose-weave masks, and are effective in the prevention of virus transmission.
  • Due to the handmade nature of this product, please understand that there may be small imperfections or slight variation among the masks.

I would also love to hear your feedback or comments on wearing my masks. You can email me at pianistandrea@gmail.com

If you make a purchase through the online store, I will aim to send it within 48-72 hours (Mon-Fri).

For custom made masks from your chosen fabric, please allow up to 7 days for your mask to arrive.

You can find out more about my masks and other creations on social media, so don't forget to follow me!
